25 Jan Acumatica Summit 2022 – Day 1 Keynotes
Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill opened Acumatica Summit 2022 in Las Vegas with his welcome keynote presentation. The main messages of this summit were focused on the extent to which the digital transformation journey is translating into business agility and how quickly customers are benefiting from an Acumatica implementation. Jon also explained the significant changes that have taken place within the Acumatica community and how this refocuses Acumatica’s values around;- excellence, integrity and curiosity.
Digital Transformation Journey
In his presentation, Jon Roskill offered answers to three key questions:
- What is the mission of Acumatica and why does it exist?
- How does Acumatica support connected technology and the needs of the business?
- What is delivered to the global Acumatica community?
‘Acumatica is a company that was created around the concept of the digital transformation journey’
Jon Roskill, Acumatica CEO
It was also mentioned that digital transformation will continue since customers are able to expand their businesses very rapidly and business requirements change and evolve as companies grow.
The true business agility is not only in aligning what these companies need with the offered technological solutions but also in allowing companies to recover fast in unstable times, like the Covid-19 pandemic, and get the advantage of all upcoming opportunities.
Green Bay Packaging – 2022 Customer Of The Year
Green Bay Packaging started its journey with Acumatica two years ago. Jason Briesemeister, Corporate Director of Accounting, mentioned that in the process of ERP selection they took into account the two most important criteria: the system should have been easy to use for all employees and align with all other systems used by the company. One of the significant benefits they got out of Acumatica implementation was the ability to drill down from financial statements to transactions in a few minutes. Other important benefits are connected to access to data in one place, bigger visibility and anticipation of things happening in different company divisions.
Tim Thompson, Cofounder and Partner at Crestwood Associates, the company that implemented Acumatica for Green Bay Packaging told that in the process of ERP implementation they were focused on three main things: listening to customer’s needs, engaging and trusting each other.
‘We listen aggressively, we are willing to trust each other, both parties have to work together, and we are willing to engage with third parties to see opportunities and fill the gaps’
Tim Thompson, Cofounder and Partner at Crestwood Associates
Challenging the Status Quo
Jon Roskill emphasised how hard and mission-driven Acumatica is working to help clients to become better in their business operations management tomorrow in comparison to today. For different types of companies in different industries, Acumatica adaptability and business agility will help in the transformation journey. This journey consists of several stages: planning, preparation, aligning, own agility roadmap development.
Future-proof business With Acumatica
Ali Jani, Chief Product Officer at Acumatica, mentioned that Acumatica is focused on democratisation. Its goal is to provide simple and sophisticated at the same time tools to people which use ERP, where every user should have everything he might need for efficient work.
He also mentioned that emerging technologies aligned all together create the combinatorial effect, where business gets much bigger results due to multipliers.
Ali Jani also emphasised that Acumatica is learning from customer behaviour to improve its functionality, to watch and to listen to end-users of the software, understand what business challenges they might face and anticipate their next challenges. One of the ways of getting this information from customers is through a community portal.
Acumatica Ecosystem Updates
Acumatica is mainly focused on 4 Industries: Distribution, Manufacturing, Construction and Retail-Commerce. So precise focus allows learning customer needs very detailed and offer very specific practical solutions.
Acumatica has announced the acquisition of IBS Imperium (property management module), upcoming changes to cloud documents management and its improvements, Autodesk integration and others. More details on these updates will be in the day two keynotes.
Jon also emphasised the importance of further developing Acumatica Marketplace, which is working together with partners to align the ecosystem to customer needs.
